Homemade electric cars have some very distinct advantages over hybrid electric cars. One is simplicity of design. They are lower maintenance and break down less. The more complicated things are the more likely things will go wrong. Last week Toyota announced the recall of over 300,000 Prius Hybrids. I think this pretty much drives the point home. Instead of buying expensive hybrid electric cars that will break it seems homemade electric cars are a much better choice.
